Representative Director · So Kawabata

At Returnees Hotline, we work to create an environment where every young person can discover their interests, values, and passions, and learn to think, choose, and act for themselves. Our work began with a place where returnee students could feel at home and be themselves. Today, that commitment extends to all students.

Some students are unsure what they want to do; others are looking for a way to take their first step. We want to meet those uncertainties with opportunities to encounter different people and possibilities. Our aim is to help students learn through challenges and setbacks and choose their next step for themselves, rather than lead everyone toward a single answer.

We believe that knowing ourselves, understanding people across differences, and working together can help us support the next generation and build a more peaceful society. Together with everyone who shares this purpose, we will continue creating an environment where young people can discover and create opportunities of their own.

Choose and create your future, on your own terms.

We help young people discover their interests, values, and passions—and think, choose, and act for themselves. Rooted in support for returnee students, we now work with young people more broadly, connecting personal growth with mutual understanding and peace.

Through encounters with different people and opportunities, students develop their own inner compass. Together, we learn from challenges and setbacks, and build the confidence to choose a next step.
