About Pasión

About Pasión Acceleration Program

From “I want to try” to exploring life on your own terms.

Pasión is an eight-week acceleration program for high-school students, beginning with what they want to try. It supports a cycle of thinking, acting, and learning through experience, from discovering an interest to taking a first step and deciding what comes next.

The focus is the process of asking questions, thinking, and making choices. Through conversation and reflection, mentors offer perspectives and resources so that each student can choose their own next step.

Our message

Why we created Pasión

Yurara and Soh standing together

Pasión is a mentoring program that helps high-school students turn “I want to try” and “I want to explore my interests” into real action.

Many students want to try something new but hesitate because they do not know where to start, fear failure, or have no one to turn to for advice.

University-student mentors provide ongoing support. Rather than giving answers, they use conversation to help students understand their interests and values, consider what they want to do and what they can do now, and turn small steps into action.

Alongside mentoring, lectures and feedback from university faculty, workshops, exchanges with students from other schools, and presentations offer opportunities to encounter different perspectives and ways of learning.

By exploring their interests and connecting them with social challenges and value for others, students develop the ability to ask their own questions, think, and act.

Pasión aims to go beyond conventional guidance on education and careers.

We want students to consider what kind of life they want to lead and what value they want to create for society, and to develop the ability to shape their own future.

We nurture each small desire to try into a challenge that connects with society.

Pasión believes in the potential of high-school students and supports their first step.
